Comet is a 4.5-month training programme for youth organisers in Britain who are seeking to understand the world and how to change it. Combining systems analysis with liberatory strategy and organising skills, Comet aims to develop the leadership capacities necessary to build effective, people-powered organisations for revolutionary change.
The Comet curriculum is delivered through diverse resources (including readings, videos, and podcasts), seminar-style discussions, group exercises, and trainings from leading organisers and intellectuals. The curriculum also builds off of the existing knowledge and experience of participants, fostering an environment of collective learning, unity, and trust-building.
If you have questions about the programme that impact your decision to apply, we will be hosting an informational session on January 7th at 7:00 PM GMT, where you can ask any questions you might have. You can register for the session here.
Some words of encouragement from Comet 2025 participants…
“My 4 months in Comet have transformed me into a different person. Before the course, I lacked the clarity and confidence to understand my political conditions and the necessary strategic interventions to bring about transformation. Now, I have developed my ideological, political, organisational, and social capacities to the extent that I understand where to lead the struggle next.”
– Lachie
“I crossed paths with the Comet programme at a time where I was feeling very disillusioned with my activist life. I can now say after four months that this was one of the best decisions of my life.”
– Osprey
“Comet was like a free Masters programme for changing the world.”
– Antonia
“Each generation must, out of relative obscurity,
discover its mission, fulfil it, or betray it.”
— Frantz Fanon
